Privacy Policy

Aurasite ("we", "us", "our") is a Sydney creative software agency. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information you give us

When you send us a brief through the contact form, email us, or call, we collect what you provide. On this site the form asks for:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your business name, if you give one
• Your current website address, if you give one
• A description of the problem you want solved

If you go on to work with us, we also collect the details needed to run the project and issue invoices: contact details, billing details, and the content, credentials and materials you supply for the build. We do not take card details through this website.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our analytics tools record:

• Pages visited, time on page, and the site that referred you
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address
• Browser, operating system and device type
• Session recordings and heatmaps of how the page is used (Microsoft Clarity)

These tools load a few seconds after the page has finished loading, and none of them are needed for the site to work.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

• Reply to your brief and prepare a quote
• Deliver, support and maintain the work you engage us for
• Send invoices and keep the records the law requires
• Understand how the website is used and improve it
• Find and fix technical problems
• Meet legal obligations

We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent a brief. If we ever send marketing email, it will be because you asked for it, and every message will include a way to opt out.

Cookies

The site uses cookies only for analytics. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity each set cookies to tell returning visits from new ones. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

Third parties we share information with

We share information only with the services we use to run the business:

• Google Analytics, for usage analytics
• Microsoft Clarity, for session recordings and heatmaps
• Airtable, where contact form submissions are stored before being forwarded to our inbox
• Our email and document providers, for communication and project records
• Our accounting provider, for invoicing

Each of these has its own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our legal rights, or as part of a sale or restructure of the business. In that last case the new owner would be bound by this policy.

Overseas transfers

Google, Microsoft and Airtable store data on servers in the United States and elsewhere. By using the site or sending us a brief, you accept that your information may be handled in those countries. We choose providers with recognised security practices and use them only for the purposes above.

Security

We protect personal information with access controls, encrypted connections and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we will tell you if a breach is likely to cause you serious harm, as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Briefs that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Project and financial records are kept for the periods Australian law requires, generally seven years.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date
• Delete information we no longer need
• Stop using your information for a particular purpose

Email hello@aurasite.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Links to other sites

Blog posts and other pages link to third-party sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be sent to the affected people directly.
